Weltevreden Safaris was established in 2009 alongside Weltevreden Game Lodge with the purchase of only 800 hectares of a variety of pristine bushveld and open savannahs on the banks of the Modder River in the Malaria free Free State province of South Africa. With no more than an open deck overlooking the river, construction was underway to build a fully operating bush camp and luxurious chalets, a few year later and Weltevreden Safaris now boasts 3 Tasteful Chalets, 5 Cabanas, a dining hall and a warm boma area for those campfire chats after a long days hunting, not to mention 3 cheetahs situated in the middle of camp. In the years since 2009 Weltevreden Safaris now operate on over 300 000 hectares of land ranging from the Free State province, Limpopo and Eastern cape provinces to the banks of The Mighty Zambezi and Luangwa rivers in Zambia, Catering for both bow and rifle hunters alike, Weltevreden Safaris prides itself on conducting memorable Safaris in the spirit of fair chase and ethical hunting. With the recent friendships made in the UAE, we now also cater for avid wing shooters offering a variety of species of birds all throughout South Africa along some of the most densely populated sunflower fields and lakes found in the country. Should you be a true fisherman and seek a fishing retreat we also offer tiger fishing safaris along the mighty Zambezi which has seen some great specimens landed.Weltevreden Safaris has certainly grown over the years with many great tales told next to the campfire and we invite you to come and experience Africa at its best and walk a path with us on the footprints of history.
